Sons of Durin over on AO3. It makes me feel sorry for Dis while at the same time feeling really rather sad for Fili and Kili too. They never got a choice; not really.

I just read this from a rec on grav_ity's LJ. It's just amazing. It makes me want to read a whole book about Dis. There are some really good stories turning up around here and I can't help but be excited about that!
