Legend of the Seeker Round Two
Oct. 28th, 2011 07:45 pmI think I may just have enjoyed this show more the second time around. It's hard to say, because my memory isn't perfect enough to recall just how I felt the first time, but I'm pretty sure. I know I liked the stupid episodes more this time, so that's good evidence.
I still think Richard is adorably cute, especially when he's being stupid and Kahlan is still my hero. Although, Cara still gives her a run for her money in Season 2. Actually, Cara may surpass her if we go episode by episode. I'm still really choked up about Leo.
I have this almost overwhelming urge to go out and find the books. Of course, that doesn't mean buy them, because I have them all in Canada. I am nearly about to run out and buy Pillars of Creation, though, because I'm trying very hard to remember how the book actually ends and I can't. Things like that drive me nuts. [And it's only £5 at Amazon.] So unless I can find them all within walking distance in a library, I'm pretty screwed until April. At which point the urge - I hope - will have worn off. I am managing to keep it under check right now because of paper-writing.
[Unfortunately, paper-writing has not kept my Twilight Muse under control. In fact, it's almost made her worse. I'm stocking up for November so that I have things to post to distract me from not doing NaNo this year. Yes, that's what I keep telling myself to feel less ashamed, so shut up!]
I poked at a few Seeker stories on FF.net and then remembered that I never got into reading for this fandom, which is good, because none of the stories poked back in a good way. Maybe I should go read old LotR stories and cheer my inner fantasy author up? Could work...might not. Be a waste of valuable time if it doesn't.
I still have a crush a mile wide on Craig Parker. It's nice that some things don't change after a decade. Pity Haldir won't be in The Hobbit(s).
[Season 2 is definitely my favourite, though Season 1 had it's high points. I now wish we'd gotten Season 3 after all.]
I had completely forgotten that the end of 'Tears' is, in fact, something of a half-assed cliffhanger, at least wherein Nicci is concerned. I almost wish they'd make a wrap-up movie like they did with Stargate, but that will never happen.
I am so going to abuse my LotS icons folder for the next few weeks. Be warned.
When does Game of Thrones come back and save me?
In other news, I have posting priviages on the U of L Museum Studies Blog. Now, to make a name for myself!
