History in the....making?

windemereWell, I feel....obligated to....mark this....momentous occasion.
Mostly I just think it was damn cool all of mid-eastern NA was without power and ground to a standstill. How pathetic is it we are that dependent on electricity?
Me, I would have been quite happy to light a few candles, open the house up, and bed down for the night. Everyone else? "OMG, what will we do? The food is going to spoil! It'll be hot all night! Oh no, the malls are closed!!
I hate this world.
On a positive not, or should I say, the only positive note, Mars and the moon were beautiful last night. I think I shall try Mars for once. He may be occupied in the mid-east, but maybe he'll listen to me. I'm sure he could kick Manwe's butt. And even if he couldn't, I'd like to see him try. :D
On to more important things, or at least things that are mostly under my control. Mostly. Power not being one of them. Thank gods for books...
Am going over to Leah's for a sleepover and to watch a movie. We were going to see Tomb Raider, but have concluded it is probably better we not be caught out in Mississauga if the power goes off again. We are then off to the Fair with Krysie tomorrow to enjoy the 30+ degree heat and possibly rain as well. Very much living in the dark ages if you ask me. Should be fun as hell.
