Weekend with the Parents

windemereI have one main thing to say that will sum up the weekend.
For the first time in 7 weeks (how long I've been in the UK) I wanted to be ANYWHERE ELSE BUT HERE. As long as my parents were not there as well.
OMG.
If I didn't already know it, I do now. My parents and I cannot live in the same country (or the same province in the case of Canada).
However, the weekend was amazing only because a) seeing Heather was so fantastic. And she was floored! Which was my amusement for the weekend. It was great to see her and Ben, and they thanked us in front of everyone for coming such a long way. And I got to be official camera taker for their website! Yay. Alas, I doubt I will get credit though. And b) Tintagel is amazing even in the pouring rain. In fact, maybe the pouring rain only made it better. And we got in for free (completely unintentionally). I have amazing pictures...on Dad's camera. Which means you will get them at a much later date.
Missed you so much this weekend Kate and Rachel. Don't think I can travel with anyone else ever again!

Date: 2007-10-31 11:03 am (UTC)Cheap place. Those are the words I love to hear!! I'd love to go, but this semester is a big no. However, come January I have time! Do you have a break at all that month? It'll probably be cold and rainy, but hey, museums, so who cares? Or February. Or March. Or, potentially, anytime after that (I'm still waiting on my spring arrangements).
