windemereWell, I've only gone 19 days without updating this journal. None of you missed me anyways.
grav_ity left this morning, after 4 very fun days. Unfortunately she was landed with my entire family and a lot of alcohol Friday night, but she survived admirably, and got to watch Return of the Jedi and 12 hours of LOTR for her troubles.
Edie marched off two hours ago, after a very long grocery shopping trip (apparently there was no food in the house, go figure) to chainsaw. At least it is up the road and I don't have to listen to it. Let's hope she forgoes the chipper today. Dad, in perfect timing, went to nap.
Cousins have all disappared down to Gibson for another party. Lucky them. I don't think I could manage another Naylor party right now. Maybe on the weekend.
It is gorgeous and warm up here today, for the first time in I can't remember how long. I shall enjoy it while it lasts. The end has come...of summer. It is Monday and therefore very quiet up here. Which will last for a few days at least.
My TO DO list for the summer is almost finished. All that is left is the following:
Read Silmarillion (10% done)
Transcribed Grandmother's notes (which will never get done, but I try every year)
Write Keeping Busy III (50% done)
Finish costume (95% done)
I've done well. And three of those things will be done by September 11th.
Off to dive in Perry Sound in a few days. Cold water, gah. Want Advanced certificate. Am so going to Colombia next spring. At least I can accomplish that before I move to Scotland.
