I feel this icon is justifiably appropriate.

In about 45 minutes we get to see the unveiling of the Richard III reconstruction. I am EXCITED. I miss archaeology. I am very, very proud of the U of L Arch Dept. today. I am massively thrilled to be living in Leicester right now. I am super happy the exhibit opens on Friday (going Sunday). And, lastly, it is more than a little fantastic that #RichardIII became the top trending subject of Twitter today. Take THAT SuperBowl.

In the midst of all the news from NC and the European elections, this one seems to have gotten lost as a major news story. Which is a little worrying. I don't know what it says, but after 11 years, the major world news these days is all 'economy and politics' and very little about the wars that are ongoing.

Which makes this: http://www.cbc.ca/news/world/story/2012/05/08/al-qaeda-cia-bomb.html more than a little worrying. I haven't heard a good CIA news story in years, but this one may be the worst blow to them yet. Also, an equally unfortunate news story on the same CBC site states that this recent bomb threat will not change airport security. Which is basically a nice way of saying: they make bombs we can't identify at the airport so...

This is why I only check the news once a week. Just to make sure the world is still standing.

[It's not, by the way.]
