Clearly, the remedy for insanity is to write Avengers crack!fic about toy Daleks. You who are to blame, you know who you are. Bad influence! Bad influence!
The remedy for not exercising in weeks and eating like crap is to move to a house where the kitchen is far enough away that it's an effort to get food, so you forget to eat.
The remedy for Verity not liking the Internet is to use Reese instead, which was the intention when I moved anyways, so I guess that works.
The remedy for stress is gardening.
The remedy for not wanting to deal with things is simply not answer one's email.
The remedy for cabin fever is to book a trip.
The remedy for boredom is to watch copious amonts of TV. And if said TV happened to include the a mini-series based on Shakespeare's King Henry IV, that starred Jeremy Irons as the king and Tom Hiddleston as Hal, well, everyone else in Britain was watching it too. I don't remember the play being funny, but the mini-series certainly was! It's possible that this is because I cannot take Tom Hiddleston seriously now, despite being a fantastic Shakespearean actor. It might also have been because I kind of just wanted Chris Hemsworth to walk on screen and start 'forsoothing'. Because the only thing to me right now more entertaining than 'Shakespeare in the Park' Avengers!crack is Thor and Loki wordplay. Because I roll like that now.
The remedy for insanity is to run away and hide in a hole in the ground and wait for it to go away.

Sep. 9th, 2006 05:56 pmYou will all be thrilled to know that I found a new place to live for the next 4 months. A very nice townhouse with a very nice mother and her two daughters (the eldest of which is a Laurier Classics major).
I have internet. It should be hooked up on my computer by tomorrow night (I'm taking dad back with me :D). I will have a land phone, but to save tying up their phone line, call me on my cell and I will call you back on the internet (bless Skpe).
I will be at Wilf's on Wed.
I may have job prospects now that I've changed cities (I'm in Kitchener now). Ashley, the eldest, works at East Side, and said they're looking for hostesses. But there's plenty of places around. Looks good.
::sighs in relief::

Sep. 8th, 2006 04:47 pmAlright, I'm calmer now.
The basement apartment I rent at school flooded. There is mold EVERYWHERE. My furniture is, if not ruined, at least must be cleaned. I cannot move in. School starts on Monday. I cannot move in.
Must now find a sublet for the next 4 months.
My landlord is useless.
The only upshot. I don't have to live with Lindsay anymore.

Well, we get the new house today. In fact, we likely have already gotten it, since it's 10am already.
And then I get to go over and see it for the first time. It's only been THREE months since parents bought the place!
And then I get to decorate. ::looks gleeful:: On the downshot, we're going to spend the rest of the week moving stuff. And then next week moving stuff. And then the next two MONTHS moving stuff. It will never end. And I don't officially move in until January.
Also, I have to make a trip to Waterloo next week. Please kill me.
And it's finally sunny and....kinda warm. Hallelujah!
