Back. Did you all miss me? Of course you did.

I learned 10 things this weekend:

1) If Jo can do, we can do it.

2) Hogwarts is not real, but we've found it.

3) Steve is (a) god.

4) Apparently nothing goes on in detention. Damn.

5) Newly redone hardwood floors are bad for Leah.

6) Ottawa is the most fucked up city in the world.

7) Mark Evans is clearly important.

8) Underwear type does effect HP character development.

9) It all comes down to Neville.

10) It's all Jo's fault.

If any of you (not you Leah), know what I'm talking about in any of the above 10, well then, why didn't I see you at the Con?

You must have seen me, as I know what you're talking about in most of those. Except for Ottawa being a fucked up city. :)

lol

You don't think it's messed up? Must not have been trying to navigate around downtown in a car with a friend who couldn't find her way around a city she lives in. But then, that was some of the most amusing times...

Okay, that would make it messed up. We do have an overabundance of one way streets downtown that confuses even those of us who live here. I'm prone to giving directions that say things like, "Take the first street that takes you left" and things like that. My navigational skills are hampered by the fact that I don't drive, so riding the bus everywhere removes the need to pay attention to the one-was signs.

Btw, am particularly fond of numbers 2, 8 and 9 on your list. Especially 2, as a friend and I swore we found the entrance to the wizarding world in Texas when I was down there visiting. Coincidence that my camera broke on that trip and there are no pictures to prove it? I think not! :-D

Not coincidence at all. I don't believe in coincidences! :D

HUm, those directions sound very familiar. It was things like that I was usually telling my friend, (while trying to distinguish what I was reading on the map), but she couldn't seem to follow them very well! I'm pretty used to one way streets (I live just outside Toronto), but the one ways in Ottawa seem to all have special rules about when you can turn left at a certain time, and right at another time....etc. And U of O is nearly impossible to find a direct route to from the U of Carleton! But somehow we made it each day.
