You know the best part of being a Museum Studies PhD is? Taking a holiday and writing it off as 'research' by visiting museums.

Also, for reasons that will be known to one of you, I have an urge to read Westgate again. That can only end badly since I have no time.

Oh, and I lied earlier today. The one I'm most embarassed about is not SeaQuest. It's totally Highlander.

Oh! We should read it at the same time, like a book club! We'll have to block some time when that will work for both of us. Maybe in January. ;-)

I'm so glad that you told me that through a computer screen! Did not have to risk asphyxiating myself as I tried choke back laughter! But mostly I'm just glad you told me. :-D

I...have no idea what that means. You think I'm certifiable? Or you completely understand? And I'm not the only one of my friends who can claim Highlander as the 'one to never admit to'. Don't get me wrong, I only watched the show for the pretty flashbacks, because it was ridiculously 1990s camp, and because Duncan's barge in Paris was sort of awesome. Okay, those aren't the only reasons, but they're the only ones I'm admitted to.

No, no, no! Definitely not certifiable!! I laughed because that was so totally unexpected, except... I dunno, fitting? Not out of character? I can totally get why you wouldn't want to admit to it, but don't at all think you should be embarrassed. Which is why if you had told me in person I would have totally sprained something trying not to laugh. Makes sense? Or should I try again, when my brain's not fried from collecting policy. (Katy sent me the DL study guides for the collecting units this morning. Guess what I've been doing all day?)

Oh God, the DL guides. I had to go through some of those earlier in the year. BRAIN = MUSH. I can completely sympathise. I hope you get through them quickly! If it helps, I have 7 hours of transcription of a 17 year old's interview today....

I was going to write back "you win"... but Janet just asked me directly via e-mail to do transcriptions. And as my second supervisor, I can't say no!!! Katara is expressing my displeasure.

Okay, I wrote fic...I just never posted it, because it sucked. But it exists...on a harddrive somewhere. I still have it. Thankfully the SeaQuest fic has been lost forever.
