Jan. 6th, 2012 04:18 pmWell, the Aunt is alive (no, that's no disappoint in my voice, but it may be surprise). Now I can move on to worrying about all the hours she'll be flying in Florida (at least M&D are 4 hours away by car now) and the trip to Palau, in which I will probably spend most of the two weeks worrying about the Aunt's significant other, who shouldn't really be going to the remote South Pacific at the age of 77...to dive!
It's a really good thing I never worry about the parentals when they are stationary in the RV, right?

Date: 2012-01-07 01:55 pm (UTC)Maybe this will make you laugh: so far, in the two weeks my parents have been in Florida, and the 5 Skype calls we've had, the highlights of their lives have been as follows:
1)visited the new pool complex. It has a nice hottub
2)Dad couldn't get the 50amp line hooked up, so spent $100 on a new cable that didn't work, so he had to ask the park owners for help
and my favourite:
3)it was really cold for one night and they had to keep the heat on

1-Just adores the Geico commercials. Loves that little lizard...
2-Enjoys reading Nicholas Sparks books.
And my favourite:
3-Hear a reporter on the news telling people that the listeners should call up people who were in the second World War and thank them for their service, so she called two people she knows but rarely speaks to and 'Thanked them!"

3. It could be worse, I suppose. I mean, I hope it brightened their days. News reporters should really watch what they say.
