Grocery adventures
Oct. 30th, 2011 01:03 pmThis will bore you, but it's so cool that I have to share! Because I remember groceries being much more expensive in this country than they seem to be. And also, my mother and I compared notes on shopping lasts week and (she is shopping for 2, but still) she pays about 40% more than I am. God bless Canada. You'd think we didn't have a breadbasket in our backyard.
-box of kleenex
-box of zip lock bags (20)
-box of 40 Tetley tea bags
-6 granola bars
-digestive cookies
-2 bags of crisps (full size)
-big thing of raisins
-loaf of bread
-cold meat slices
-small pizza
-onion
-6 baking potatoes
-3 bananas
-4 apples
-half a dozen eggs
-4 doughnuts
-small jar of jam
I don't always buy the cheapest thing either, though I tend to try. For instance, the cold meat was the cheapest variety, but the bread was not. The most expensive single product was the raisins, in fact.
The girl across the hall keeps hacking away. Gee, could it be because SHE SMOKES? Stupid people. No sympathy.
