Feels like a right proper witch today out sweeping the deck in long black skirt, buckled boots and orange tank top. I didn't really think about that fashion choice until now and I've been in it 5 hours.

The Jehovah's Witnesses came by today. Two fourteen year old girls. Unfortunately my mother got to them before I did, because my answer is always 'Let me tell you about my religion. In my religion Jesus was a man who lived 2000 years ago, got married, had kids and came up with a few good ideas. And then he died. And my gods are older than your gods, so there.' So I've missed out on my fun for the day.

What really gets me is that I live in a neighbourhood that is entirely white 'Christian' and very very well educated. I think the Indian doctor across the road may be the only person on this street who isn't white. And I think he might be Christian too, but it's hard to say as I've never actually asked. He's Canadian born and raised, though, so quite possibly. His kids go to the private school up the road. By that's not really the point. It's probably the last neighbourhood they should be bothering with.

Especially when you can see them coming. ;D

See the thing about Jehovah's Witnesses is that they don't actually want to convert anyone, but they still have to go out and 'try'. I once invited to two Jehovah's Witnesses to come in and tell me about their religion and they said they would be back the next day after I read the literature. I waited the next day (I was home anyway) and they never came back. So much for that then. I think the real reason they do this is because of some weird fetish that I don't even want to think about... perverts!

They do it because they're required to. It's a law of their version of religion, that every member of the church must spread the good word. No matter the age or ability.
