I've only got one question.

If there must always be a balance - down to the atomic level of mass even - then when Peter came here, who went there?

I would like to point out that the car fiasco was only one attempt. What else did they try?

The car thing is weird, because Walter follows up his statement about it being the first time they'd tried it with "It wasn't our first time", which means either a) lazy writing, or b) when Walter said "our" what he meant was him and Peter, not him and William. (I forget the year)

As for the other...I have no idea. It's possible that, until the car, Walter didn't know that it would be "returned" like that.

(Olivia and William have both crossed over with only negative affects to themselves, so...maybe when people do it it's different, and the people in the building were just unlucky enough to be in the wrong place when the building moved?)

Maybe it only works if you're completely clear of all architecture or nature. You know, standing in a field. Or maybe certain people can do it without problem.

I took Walter's comment to mean the car was the first time for he and William. The first time for Walter was with Peter.

Also, I read a fic this morning that made a bloody good point. If Newton is experimenting with opening doors, what's he going to try next? A building is pretty big. Did he try something else first? And is the choice of what, from our universe, gets pulled into the other one to settle the balance completely random (beyond mass)? Why that hotel? In other words, because Peter is

already 'tagged' as it were, might he be pulled back to the other universe if someone from that one is pulled here?
