Fringe 'Jacksonville'
Feb. 10th, 2010 08:48 amI have had a revelation. SGA Season 2 ep 'The Tower' is on this Space morning.
Guess what show our favourite Observer guest starred on? As A BALD GUY. Seriously, I have no idea why I didn't remember him. I loved that SGA ep. It was so camp.
You have all seen Jacksonville, but I am sort of glad I postponed it a week, because one week less! And gods, it's going to be a hard 5 weeks!
There is nothing wrong with this episode. I mean, Walter is a bastard on screen which is sort of awesome and annoying at the same time. And Peter is all background emotional support and Olivia is all clueless to it. And Olivis is awesome.
The only thing is the constant repetition of the scene "Let's experiment on Olivia - Okay Dr. Bishop! - NO Walter!" It's funnier than it should be, Peter is all cute for still objecting, and Olivia is still stupid for agreeing.
I loved the glimmering building. That was awesome. I also love the fact that it was fear. It's true, Olivia is FBI. Before that she was a military lawyer. She carries a gun. She runs after criminals and weirdos without backup. She let's Walter give her drugs. This woman doesn't fear. Except, she does. Because I think she was scared to death in episodes like 'Ability'. Except it's fear for other people and not herself. But she often manifests that fear as pissed off to deal with the situation. Like in that ep, she was pissed off at Jones.
I am not in the frame of mind and too tired to analyse this show right now. I will get back to it later. I've got 5 weeks. Now, off to read all the fanfic I missed!

Date: 2010-02-10 03:21 pm (UTC)Which means:
1. Olivia is canonically fearless.
2. Peter touching her is probably what triggered her.
3. She had her eyes closed for a bit, which is why she didn't see him at that point.
Of course, none of this stands up until I hear it on the show...but whatevs! :)
