Today I accomplished two things: I ate a lot and I finally went to a Globe play.
Lunch was at the Tate cafe, and was a good old fashion Caesar salad with anchovies. Dinner was sausages and mash because pub food and tea is about the only thing I eat when it is windy and rainy outside.
The play was Troilus and Cressida, which is the only Shakespeare play I have seen and never read. Which means I didn't know what was going to happen (except, of course, besides the obvious that it's based on the Trojan War...). Cas and I paid for the groundling seats, the £5 standing ones that is, but we were right up by the stage and despite a few rain drops (better than burning sunlight really) the weather was perfect. And who cannot enjoy half naked men running around having at each other with sharp objects? I picked Greek history for a reason...
Am now enjoying Top Gear on the telly. A new experience. Strangely Hammond is wearing a suit jacket. He's stolen Jeremy's fashion sense.
It's going to be a long week...7 more to go.
Apparently we have a private roofed garden as well as access to the roof chairs for sunbathing. I LOVE THIS PLACE.
