LOTS ' Deception'

I just read an awesome letter that Goodkind wrote to the fans back last year when the whole TV series thing was definite. Even he says, accept the show for what it is and the books for what they are. I'm so okay with that. Because book!Richard is not this stupid.
Could the sledgehammer of doom over the whole 'married' thing be any heavier? I might possibly be over the 'he'd make a good father' thing too. Because really, it's not like they're ever going to have kids...right? Right? Bugger. Still, NZ kids are cute.
I kind of loved Carver. Strangely. He's been the best 'confessed' slave of them all I think. The blueberry tarts were a nice touch. A soldier who bakes? :)
I cannot remember for the life of me if Whispers are book canon. That annoys me.
I have a problem with Kahlan having the Sword. Because there's a whole thing in the books over why she can't carry it and why Richard would only give it to her under the direst of circumstances, which I wouldn't really consider this.
Five episodes left. I want me some Mud People! Just a few, please? I shall have to settle for having just reached that ten-chapter run in WFR.

Date: 2009-03-30 12:07 pm (UTC)I seriously want me some mud people, indeed.
LotS just got renewed for a second season, so there's hope, considering Stone of Tears both begins and ends in the Mud People village.
And I really should reply to your LotS posts more often. I mean, the Sword of Truth book series is my favorite, so I've been watch LotS. It's both amusing and VERY FRUSTRATING at the same time.
Way to invalidate the whole Boxes of Orden plot line. Book of Counted shadows, what's that? Pfffffffft.

I heard about season 2, how exciting! I wonder who other books they will combine with Stone of Tears? I am currently in rereading mode from the beginning because I've forgotten SO MUCH!
I have just decided to pretend I am watching an entirely different story to the one I know. It's easier then it should be.
How are you?
