I am freaked out right now as well as cringing up into a ball. My gods, is Craig Parker enjoying playing the evil bastard a bit too much!

It makes me wonder (I really don't want to think about it) exactly how Rahl is going to die. I also really, really, really want the 'Luke, I am your father' moment, because last night's ep had the perfect set up and we didn't get it because it is episode 15 and not 22. And I want it. I am dying to see the look on Richard's face, because last week we got the 'they pray to him?' look which is priceless because soon they will be praying to Richard instead and I always imagined the look he has when anyone does it to be exactly the look Craig Horner had last week. He may be young(er) but he carries it off well anyways. But I want 'you're my what?' because it will be fantastic!

Bridget Regan is a kind of scarily amazing actress in that she actually looks like she's in agony. Her screaming is sending shivers up my spine. Gah!

I miss Bruce Spence. It is weird, because until this show started I rather hated the actor (I blame Peter Jackson). Now I want Zedd back and that is a bizarre feeling because I hated him in the books too. Especially the late ones I'm reading now where he just gets all annoying and First Wizardly and I kind of want to lock him up in some dark corner of the Keep and throw away the key. I have no idea where that compulsion has come from. Of course, currently I am just finishing 'Phantom' and there are quite a lot of people I'd like to lock up and throw away the key. About the only ones not driving me up the wall right now are Richard and Kahlan (who haven't been together for two books now) and Rachel. Well, and Chase too since he just showed up again. The others should be locked up, some of them should be murdered painfully, and Ann really needs to be stripped off every single grain of her gift so that she can never read prophecy again. It would be a fitting torment for her to not know what is going to happen, or what she thinks is going to happen.

I have no idea how Goodkind is going to wrap this all up in 650 pages. I am sort of very worried. I just hope he does.

Don't Worry

Came across your post. Hope you don't mind I comment, but don't worry Goodkind wraps up Phantom pretty good. I just finished all the books. You're probably already done with Phantom at this point and maybe even finished with Confessor. Good stuff, eh?

I hope not, but I'm getting the feeling the TV show isn't going to bring in Jangang and the whole New World vs. Old World plot line. If I remember correctly in the episode with the True Listener, Kahlan took the kid to the "Sisters of Light" hidden in the magical valley and these same sisters apparently raised Kahlan, which is way, way off. My guess is the show draws out the Darken Rahl plot line for an eternity.

That's what I'm afraid of too! NOOO! Not that I specifically liked the Jagang plot line, and I do love me some evil Craig Parker, but still....

Yep, all done now! Whew, what a relief with that ending. I have to say I was quite happy by the end. Well, mostly. Now I'm rereading WFR because it's been years! and I'd forgotten most of it...apparently. :)
