Various...things
Mar. 10th, 2007 01:41 pmSo, Prometheus Unbound was on last night. I haven't seen it since it origianlly aired. OMG, I'd forgotten how much I loved it. The teaser may just be the Best Thing they ever did on Stargate. And now, for the life of me, I can't remember how Vala returns. Anyone? Kate? Help?
So, mom invited Patricia over for coffee today. Patricia is her former boss, and technically still mine. Apparently everyone at Lions has been asking Patricia to ask me to come back. It's nice to be loved. Or at least admired for being good at what I do. So, I will be starting work June 7th again, and hopefully will be done by Aug. 7th (or whenever the nearest Friday is to that). Patricia retires the end of June, so I will have to train the new girl who is taking over her position in what to do with the walks. Joy. However, because Patricia loves me, and because they got in trouble last year for only paying me $10 an hour, I will probably be getting a pay raise this summer. Also, I get to work shorter days so I don't have to contend with rush hour on the highway. Goodie! So I will make just as much, if not more, money then I did last summer. Yay!!! I can afford to tour Scotland and go to the moot! I can also afford to pay off my credit cards after I get back from Greece without delving into my tax returns. So now I can quit Jacob at the end of April and still have a great job when I get back from Greece. It just may make me want to kill myself by July, is all.
In other news, there is a chance that a video team is coming on the trip to Belize because they are shooting a documentary or something to do with sea life and want to include the whale sharks. Hey, I might get to be on film!
And mom seems to have come to terms and is okay with the fact that I want to do double degrees in England. Which is good, because I'm not sure how else I was going to be able to do it unless she was fronting the money. Dad just hasn't come to terms with it yet. In fact, the whole idea seems to be making him a little sick. I don't get it.
I get the house to myself tonight. There will SGA commentaries until either they get back or I can't see the TV anymore. I might get through a few at least. I'm on to Runner next. Which should be great.
