They live nice. Am very jealous of the apartment Rach has been living in all summer, and the apartment she's moving into as well. Canada sucks, university accomodations wise.

I'm still exhausted, and slept till 11am this morning without being aware of either of my parents leaving. But it's a good tired - the type that comes from doing something you enjoy - but I still don't feel like doing anything. Though my room is unpacked...that's something.

And most of the suite is unpacked too, so we've made progress since last Thursday. And it looks pretty nice too. Will definately take some getting used to though, as I've lived in houses all my life.

I'll try to put some pics up on my website at some point...though, it may take some time. It's still summer and I'm being lazy.

Anyways, the point of this entry:

I had a blast! (I mean it seler, I really did.) Though I am somewhat (alright, a lot) unnerved by how similar Lindsay and I are. Even my father exclaimed in a very shocked and somewhat horrified tone of voice, that we look like sisters. As I have spent the last 2 years thinking Rach and I look like sisters, I find this frightening. Not that looking like Lindsay is a bad thing! :D (No telling her any of this Rach!). California was strange, in a good way. It's very different down there, and yet very much the same as well. I thoroughly enjoyed the seven days of sun and warmth...especially when I returned to thunderstorms for 24hours here.

I spent most of the week eating what Rachel made me, teasing Rachel with Lindsay's help, helping Sam do a very annoyingly difficult puzzle, shopping, swimming, and figuring out I am in aweful shape (5 minutes on a bike and I was ready to pass out).

Spent Sunday (22nd) in San Fran, which was really cool. I couldn't really get my head around the fact that I was actually there. And I could see Alcatraz and the Gold Gate Bridge. Weird. Pier 39 was really fun, but Chinatown and Japantown, where we spent most of the day, was even better. I bought lots.

Monday we trecked off to Old Sac(ramento) to visit a very nice area of shops. It's a lovely place to spend the day. I bought more, including tons of salt water taffy...it's available in abundance and dozens of flavours there. Daddy was happy when I got home. :D

Tuesday Rachel and I walked around Davis, the town where UC Davis is located. It's a nice place; kinda what Oakville could be if it didn't have a population of 120,000 that live in enormous homes, or north of the QEW. It's like downtown Oakville. And it's quiet in the summer. I found a cauldron and Rachel bought me my chalice, so I am now set for my alter! Can I hear a yay?
Aquarius is now my favourite shop. Unfortunately it's in California. Damn. And there was a really nice restraunt there where you can make your own salad...yummy.

Wednesday I went to work with Rach. And messaged back and forth with Lindsay at her work. And then when Rach decided she actually had to get something done, I went and bugged Lindsay at the library. We should not be left alone together. Unfortunately, our brilliant plan to kill Rachel Friday at 2:30pm with a chainsaw, failed utterly. As it was 2:45 when we looked at the clock, and realized we were at Safeway, and Rachel was at work. And that Dan might have a problem with The Plan. C'est la vie. And then Wednesday night I went to Astro TA with Rachel. Which was awesome, as she was up on top of Hutch with the BIG telescope. I mean BIG. So I got to see M31 and M13 and all around marval at how cool UC Davis is.

Needless to say I slept in Thursday. And then Sam and I spent the day watching 7 hours of season 5/6 Stargate. It was a well wasted day. And then Dan came back from camp. And then we all went out for a great Japanese dinner. And then went to Target. I have now been to a Target.

Friday...I don't think I did anything. Rachel was a work most of the day. And Sam and I watched Dan move all of Rachel and his things out of the apartment. I feel guilty I didn't lift a finger. Well, not much. :D And then we went swimming, as we did every night.

Saturday I got up and went home. I very stupid mistake. Very stupid.

And that was my week.

Will now enjoy a week a sleep. We leave for the cottage on Saturday. And then I'll be back in time to go to school. I'm actually looking forward to it.

Though not to the $200 booklist.
