I watched it as soon as I got up this morning. But I was unable to form more than three consecutive words, so I had a cold shower, went to my afternoon meetings, and then went shopping. I think I can manage 7 or 8 words at a time, now.
But firstly:
OMG.
How did they manage to fit all that into 48 minutes, I'll never know. I want to kiss Spike (he will always be referred to as Spike, because even James doesn't seem to fit). But perhaps I shall leave the kissing to Jack because gods the hotness.
-Spike is awesomeness personified. Even when he was actually Spike and not John. Also, hee.
-Jack knows how to make an entrance, but then we knew this already. Apparently it's a skill learned at the Time Agency, since John also possesses it. Also, they're rather good at exits.
-Gwen...should really know better, but then there would be less angst, so maybe it's all good
-I read the "Ianto gets put in charge" fics and the "Owen takes control" fics, but somehow missed the "Gwen ends up in command" fics. Huh. Also, I feel a bit sorry for Tosh.
-Oh the kissing. The kissing and fighting and guns, and oh gods...
-I saw it coming, like, a mile away, but apparently none of them have learned how easily screwed over they can be - I do like the fact that Jack really should have known better too, especially after the year he's just had, but was still too stupid to notice
-poison kissing, yum
-how many times have you gotten shot now Owen? Are you trying to keep up with Jack, because he'll win
-Tosh was a bit useless. Again, I feel sorry for her, because I love her character, and have, in fact, loved her since "Aliens of London"
-OMG Ianto, say NO. He's going to screw you over again, don't you know that? However, points for blatant "guy asking guy out" because we just don't get enough of that on TV
-Ouch. Like, really, ouch. That...ouch
-Seriously, entrances! How to Make an Entrance 101, first year of the Time Agency.
-::snerk:: always a woman; and a really creative way to get revenge on your murderer, I have to say
-Owen gets points this ep for "really cool idea", but I still thinks he's lagging - also, I thought he'd be a bit more violently pissed off at Jack - maybe it is still to come
Coming up...
I really hope Martha doesn't lord it over them all that she knows more about Jack then they do, although I'm still a little fuzzy on how much she pieced together after overhearing Jack and the Doctor talking in "Utopia". She had enough to figure the basics, though. I have a feeling she and Gwen aren't going to get on well.
I am hoping that Gwen does indeed get around to getting married, but at the same time I realize that it'll probably never happen. Married and Torchwood? Not likely.
Well, I think I shall go watch it again, and then go back over to the library (again) and then go to bed. Off to Sheffield for 4 days tomorrow!
