Hum, now what to write. The girl on the computer next to me has a really cool LJ up with a HUGE pic of Harry. ::contemplates talking to a stranger::

Well, as a lot has happened this week, I feel I should inform you all (although Leah knows most)

Monday: Spent two hours moving in and unpacking, which was tedious. Met my nice roommate, who is currently having boyfriend issues. ::grins knowingly:: Sat through first half of football game against Waterloo, in which we lost, and then went to bed.

Tuesday: What did I do? Met my group in my colour team...

All the 1st years here are separated into 4 colour teams, with about 20 groups in each colour team. I was BLUE 12. WE competed against the other colours all week long.

I don't remember what I did, but it agrivated my allergies.

Wednesday: Spent most of the day in bed with bad allergies. So not much fun.

Thursday: Again spent time in room, but watched Shine off and Cheer off from room window...

Shine of was a competition to see which colour team could clean a car the fastest that was covered in chocolate syrup. It was rigged becuase we had a white car and the red team, who won, had a red car. Easier to clean.

Had good time, even though we lost Shine off and cheer off, (exactly what it sounds like).

Friday: Best day yet. Spent morning playing capture the sponges (flag) and blue won! Spent afternoon practicing cheers for the final cheer off. Did cheer off (came in close second) too bad, we were really hyped. Did bling bling...

The entire point of this week at Laurier was to raise money for Shinerama, to fight Cistic Fibrosis (sp?). There is a bucket put on the floor of the AC (gym) for each colour, and you have 7 minutes to put as many pennies in your own team bucket and otehr coinage and bills in the other team bucket. Pennies are good, everything else counts against you. Our team put a total of $6000 worth in the other team buckets. Unfortunately, blue is very much like Slytherin, in that the other teams don't want us winning. They put a total of $8000 in our bucket. We didn't stand a chance. But it was fun as hell watching our team put bill after bill in the other teams buckets. I was laughing hysterically watching our Head Ice put like 50 $5 in the red team bucket (anonimity between blue and red is famous). Gold and Blue ended up raising the most money in the event, but we had too many bills in our bucket, so we lost.

That night was the talent show. Great! Blue went last, and we kicked ass, and won. That was great. Couldn't hear or talk after though. Got to dance on the floor of the AC with our Icebreakers though.

Saturday: Big event of the week. Shinerama. Teams go to different locations around Kitchener/Waterloo and raise money by shining cars, bikes, anything. Spent 8 hours in the blaring sun (nicely burnt) and raised $500 in our group of 13. Blue 8 raised over $2000 (more than any other team)! Unfortuntely we found out at closing ceremonies last night that we did't win, and Green, again, won the entire week, but we probably came in second (it was close). Not important though, becuase we beat our school record for last year ($118,000) and beat our goal for this year by $70,000. The entire school (1700 first years) raised $160,000 for CF! We partied well last night, I'll tell you. Bets are we beat out all the other schools in Ontario as well.

That's it. Gotta go, Elly's coming to visit soon.

I'll be on internet by Friday, so e-mail me people! Now! I'll be home on the 19th to visit.

Love you all lots,
~Ailis
