Reading update

windemereHere be SPOI--wait a minute, everyone who reads this lj has already finished the book.
Appointing Snape to the DADA position was bloody brilliant. Unfortunately he didn't have ample opporunity to gloat about the matter, nor find new and inventive ways to make Harry suffer. I'm hoping he gets a chance later on, because the lack of Harry bashing this time around is just appaling. Not even Malfoy has gotten in more than a crack or two since that unexpected disaster on the train.
I'm beginning to get the sense that JK has so many characters to keep track of that she keeps forgetting about some of them, and then suddenly realizes she has and they abruptly show up out of nowhere, and really do nothing to advance the plot...or their own character development. Tonks, for instance.
I want to hug Malfoy. And then I'd like to hug Snape. Tis rather unfortunate that as of chapter 19, neither of them has actually DONE ANYTHING.

Dumbledore annoys me. But then, he always has, more each year/book. Ah well, I won't have to put up with THAT too much longer. ::smirks::
I find I'm reading this book differently then the others. Or perhaps I'm just getting good (after 5 failed attempts) at picking out the important points among a host of non-important ones. Or I'm just becoming paranoid, which of course, is entirely possible. This book seems really easy to read things into it, without even trying. Which perhaps was JKs intention, as everything I am reading into it is likely entirely off the mark. Which I won't find out until book 7.

Snape is still an intriguing mystery. And one I find I'm rather enjoying trying to puzzle out, whether I'm right or not.
And bless Sluggy for keeping things interesting.
