The Mayan Non-Apocolypse

windemereSeriously, I'm almost put-out. Because at least there would have been news to watch today that is not the Epic Winter Storm, Newtown or The War related.
Although you put those three together in a sentence and maybe the world is ending. The Mayan's say it's the start of a new and better era. I think they are full of crap, personally. I can't imagine things are going to get better right now in the world, only worse. All the horror and death and destruction and stupidity. We'd need a major shift in human thinking before things get better.
But, on a happier note: it is Yule. So the days get loooooonger from here on out!
Have a Merry Yule and try to spend today remembering what the season is really about. ie: not shopping, getting there as fast as you can, having the perfect whatever, or being unkind. We have enough of that the rest of the month.
