If so, why are you on my friends list?
So...it gets better with viewing? Which is, you know, not as much of a surprise as it currently feels like it is. I'm just...a little blown away by that fact. I totally noticed the 48 frames more the second time, but the Aunt didn't notice it at all (her first viewing). I think I just paid more attention or something? Didn't really matter, it was just more of a 'oh, now I get what people are talking about, anyway and...DWARVES!' I'm easily distracted? That must be it.
OMG the people who left for a bathroom break AS THE EAGLES ARRIVED should not be allow to see fan films on their opening weekends.
Elladan and Elrohir are in the movie. There are two pretty identically elves riding behind Elrond into Rivendell carrying flags. I am going with this and none of you are going to tell me otherwise. There is, however, no ten-year-old Dunedain running around. Or Gilrain.
Thranduil is going to be a HOOT. I will not be able to not laugh. If Legolas and Thranduil have a non-fight scene together I cannot be held responsible for my actions in the theatre. My Aunt thought him being Legolas' father was pretty funny.
I will stay and watch the credits next time. I promise.
I am only really upset about the Goblin King's voice and Gwahir's lack of voice.
The Aunt asked where Arwen was. I had to explain. Which might have confused her as Galadriel was 'in' Rivendell and I said 'Arwen's with her grandmother Galadriel'. Oops.
The trailer for Jack the Giant Slayer is worse the second time around. The Man of Steel one is even better.
Anyways, I've managed to eat a roast beef dinner and a stuffed pork tenderloin dinner today. And eggs benedict. I'm feeling sort of sick.

Date: 2012-12-17 09:36 am (UTC)I looked at the elves as they rode in and I saw the two that look alike. I was hoping for something small with the twins and I still hope maybe the extended gives us that. Frankly, I would rather have had the twins than Lindor, but that's just me. I know Lindor is the guy from the first film and most folks were pleased by that, but I would rather have had the twins.
Did you just *love* the map reading scene in Rivendell? I thought that was just so beautifully filmed.
I was so into the film that I didn't notice the Great Goblin's voice until other folks mentioned it. I wonder why they did that? The funny thing was,one of the people I was with said, "Who is the actor doing the voice?" And I told her and it *still* didn't hit me! Duh!
Maybe the Eagles will fly back with food for the company at the start of the film and then have a chat with Gandalf? Maybe?
I will spend all year worrying about the animals that serve dinner at Beron's house. I'm so afraid that bit will be in the film and look silly.
I love this movie so much though. (hugs it tightly)
