(no subject)

I'm back.

That is all. Well, maybe not.

It was one of those weekends that we will pretend never happened.

Items lost somewhere in Lake Muskoka:
-weight belt with 12 pounds of lead
-mask with prescription lenses
-snorkel
-pair of 2K diamond earings....almost (we found them in the boat before they fell into the water, but I spent 30 minutes on the bottom of the lake looking for them before we did)

Sole Achievement of the Weekend:

I got my Advanced. Can now dive on my own, as well as apply to Marine Archaeology programs. Go me. Todd was less than thrilled. Edie literally twisted his arm to get it. It's so nice to have a dive instructor in the 'family'.

Am actually contemplating applying to Texas A&M for next September for Nautical Archaeology. Am insane. There's a similar program in Turkey as well. Am not that insane.

Can actually afford to go to Greece next year. Isn't that nice? Now, if only I can figure out how to stay over there until the end of June when Annemarie arrives and offers me free room and board for 2 weeks. Wonder if Cathy would go later? June is just as nice as May in the Med. I've investigated a few dive shops in Greece. I hope Cathy doesn't mind, but I plan to abandon her at least once in Santorini and once in Athens to go diving. ::dies::

I have to figure out how to pay for a $2000 dive trip next spring to Colombia while shelling out $5000 for Greece. Probability? 0
