May. 2nd, 2006 06:37 pmSo, drove all the way to Waterloo today to check on the house...and found myself locked out. Am most put-out, as I could not get my landlord on the phone and no one was home upstairs. Must now go back next week, but at least Dad offered to drive so I don't have to pay for gas.
Had lunch with Cathy, at least, so the trip was by no means wasted. She kindly listened to my rant for an hour. Bless her.
I get tomorrow off. I am immensely grateful. Because Thursday and Friday will be hell. And painting once more on the weekend. And Waterloo perhaps Monday. And....well, anyways. That's depressing enough for now.
Was supposed to have chapter two of "Keeping Busy" up by now. And I would, if it was written, which it is not. I have had less time than I thought, and even the book I started a week ago is still not finished, which is rather a new accomplishment for me, as it was only 350 pages, and meant for 13-year-olds. So no fic until mid-month. Am sorry. I'll be productive when I'm laid up next week for what my mother thinks will be 5 days, and I think will be two. But at least it gives me 5 days to write, whether I'm laid up or up and about.
::snorts:: That's sounds funny.
Anyways...It is gorgeous today. I wish it was going to last. I could live quite well in 70/20 degrees and partly sunny. Quite well.
I suppose we shall have to get used to rain, Kate. Oh well, at least I'll not have to worry about sunburns much. And pale is apparently coming back into style. Since I'm always pale, this is good.
Leah: nice to hear from you.
Kate: what are you going to do when you run out of Alanna? :D And I know Jon is a jerk, but that doesn't mean I can't like him for his sex appeal, does it?
Rach: hope things are...improving.
Everyone else: have a nice week!
