Need Help!
May. 30th, 2005 02:45 pmSo, I have a dilema. And I'd like to hear someone else's viewpoint on the issue, because my mother is being her usual entirely unhelpful self. (It's your problem, YOU figure it out!)
So, I originally got into Scuba diving because it was something, finally, that my aunt and I could do together. We could go away and enjoy a bit of freedom. And I thought that was really cool. But recently Edie aquired a boyfriend who is a Divemaster, and she has now taking to doing everything with him: trips, practice, lessons. I feel like a third wheel tagging along where I'm no longer wanted. This was fun once, but now it just seems like I'm going along with it so that when she and Todd inevitably break up, she'll still have someone to dive with.
Should I continue diving simply because my aunt wants me too? Or should I just end it now, before I invest any MORE money in it, and find something else that I'm interested in, where I'm not dependent on her and her schedule/mood?
