So...I've moved on to rationalization. I think I'm getting better. Although anger and acceptance are still a long way off.

The writers have managed, in true form, to back themselves into a very small, tight corner. Which they really deserve, bastards. I think there's really only one logical way out of the whole mess.

Ascension. (At least the Ancients did something right.)

This is the only logical way out for three reasons: a)SG doesn't do ghosts, so what else is there? b)someone who is that good a person deserves to be offered ascension; I mean if Rodney can do it.... c)it's the Ancients that caused the whole mess (devices that give off radiation that cause explosive tumours - what the hell was WRONG WITH THEM?) so they need to do something to fix it.

So, this leaves me with my brilliant plot plan for Season 4. Since I've decided to hate Staite's character on principle (which is too bad because I love JS), and with all the other rumoured character changes in season 4, it should become apparent almost immediately that the fans are not happy with the new dynamics. We already aren't. When this happens, the writers will realize what a colossal mistake they made (alright, so really it's more like multiple colossal mistakes) they will endevor to figure out how to fix it. Leaving the Weir and Sam problems aside for now, the Carson problem is really easily fixed. Most everyone remembers the SG-1 ep wherein Jack gets captured/tortured and Daniel shows up to offer words of comfort and nothing else. Daniel stood by, which he had too, because he had to be ascended when he battled Anubis so that he could be thrown out of the 'order' as it were. He was waiting for bigger and better things. Really, all the writers have to do is throw Rodney into a similar situation...which shouldn't be that hard, it's about time he got captured and tortured again (we miss it), Carson shows up, realises he CAN'T NOT HELP (I mean, this is Carson, not being able to sit by and do nothing is what got him into the whole mess in the first place) and willingly descends to help Rodney. I mean, it was just a wonderful coincidence that Tao of Rodney goes into huge detail of how to ascend/descend and makes a pointed reference that Rodney can choose his own path. Once Carson's descended it's not like the Ancients are going to let him back in. They just don't do that.

Okay, I rationalized. Probably more than I should of, and I know there are flaws in my Grand Fix-it-all Plan, but I so don't care.
