But low and behold, I am still alive. Not a single one of you missed me, I know.

Update, because I am exceedingly bored and you all must suffer as I am.

Reading update:

CL 211: finished Book 11 of Iliad...go me! Only 13 more chapters to go! Gods, why can't Agamemnon just go and fall upon his own sword? It would put us all out of our misery...that would include all Trojans and the better part of the Greeks as well. Sole consolation: Clytemnestra's going to kill him in his bath...THE most pathetic way to die ever.

RE 313: Uh....I picked the books up? It's sitting on my bed side table mocking me because I should have it read by now.

A question: If I don't have a mid-term or exam, and in fact am not getting tested on the material at any time: why am I taking notes in my 318 class?

Note: I repeat, Simpson is THE best prof EVER.

Classes:

RE 313: I've no idea...I haven't done anything for it yet. Including going to class...ah, I love DE courses! Also, no final or mid-term!

LA 204: It would be a horrible class with all the translation, except: we're going Catullus, so I just copy the poems from my english Catullus translation into my notebook and pretend I'm doing the work. What? Also, yea for getting to write the latin competition and fail it and still get full marks in the class!

CL 211: I would not be taking it if there was anything else being offered. On a side note, I should have taken 216 instead. But the Iliad is much more fun when I read it while watching Troy.

CL 318: again, no final or mid-term, only a quiz and presentation and in-class essay. I LOVE SIMPSON. And yea for pointless stories that have nothing to do with nothing but are still entertaining.

EN 238: my useless course. For 3 reasons: 1) I don't have time to take this course, but I am. 2) It doesn't give me anything towards any of my requirements. 3) It's based on LOTR as an Allegory. TOLKIEN HATED ALLEGORY. And he is rolling over in his grave. I must remember to apologize profusely. Chalk another up under "Sins Against the Professor". I should go find that post again.

Oooh, Amazing Race is on. Excuse me while I go squee over all the places I've never been.

Insanity update: Kate and I are going to see Elektra on Friday. Then she is sleeping over and we are getting up Saturday morning to do a 12 hour LOTR EE marathon and finish writing the drinking game. So next month we can do the marathon again and get drunk this time. Yes, I belong in an institute.

~Amy, who is actually looking forward to school tomorrow: yea for poster sale!

I thought we were going to actually play the game while we were writing it.
